An Apostille (pronounced "ah-po-steel") is a type of certification that comes from the French word meaning “certification.” Issued by the Secretary of State, it is attached to an original document to verify its authenticity. This ensures the document will be recognized and accepted in countries that are part of the Hague Apostille Convention.
An Authentication is the process of verifying the legitimacy of a public document for use in a foreign country that is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention. Unlike an Apostille, which is accepted by treaty member countries, an Authentication is typically the first step in a multi-step process that may include certification by the U.S. Department of State and legalization by a foreign embassy or consulate.
Notary Certificate Requests & Certificates of County Clerk
We assist with obtaining Notary Certificate Requests (proof of a notary’s active commission) and Certificates of County Clerk, which are often required to validate a notary’s authority before a document can be authenticated or apostilled. These certificates confirm that the notary’s commission is current and properly filed with the appropriate county office.

We offer certified translations for documents that require Apostille or Authentication—a critical step when your original document is in a language other than English, or when the destination country requires an English translation for legal processing.
Each translation includes a signed certification of accuracy, making it suitable for submission to the Secretary of State, U.S. Department of State, foreign embassies, and other official agencies. We translate vital records, legal documents, academic transcripts, and more—ensuring they meet all requirements for international use.
By combining translation with our Apostille and Authentication services, we help simplify the process so your documents are accepted abroad without unnecessary delays.
